The I-94 will have an expiration date that is typically six months from the date of entry into the United States; however, it is possible for the expiration date to be less than six months. If someone wants to stay longer than what is allowed on their I-94, they may be able to apply for an extension of their tourist visa.

The only exception is that people on tourist visas can take up incidental employment such as being a ski instructor for part of the day provided, they are not engaged in this activity full time.
